Angie Never is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher who has been sharing her passion for movement with students of all levels since 2002.  She strives to offer students a sense of empowerment, an awareness of their bodies, and a glimpse of the divine within each one.

Angie took her first bellydance class in 1997 and was introduced to yoga in 1998.  Having lived as a bookworm since puberty, she was instantly amazed by her ability to feel strong, sexy, balanced and aligned in the dance studio and on her mat, and this new experience of self-love kept her learning and practicing.

As a dancer, she became drawn to the growing fusion bellydance movement and founded the area’s first fusion troupe in 2002.  Sacred Shimmy Bellydance is a community of improvisational dancers and musicians who have become known for their energetic, joyful, and powerful performance style.  To bring this evolving style to Ohio, Angie sought out instruction with the best dancers in the field, including workshops with groundbreaking fusion dancers Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Jill Parker, and others, as well as four months of training at Caravan Studios in Portland, OR.  While working within her own troupe, she became drawn to the speed, creativity, and vibrancy of Fat Chance Bellydance® and began to narrow her focus to FCBD®Style.  She is now a certified Advanced FCBD®Style Bellydance Teacher and has also completed Tribal Grooves Teacher Training and Zoe Jakes' Key of Diamonds.

As a yogi, Angie stayed connected to the powerful roots of her Hatha practice while exploring the fluidity of Vinyasa practice as well.  In 2010, after more than a decade of personal practice, she completed Teacher Training at the 200-Hour Level from Yoga on High in Columbus, OH, and went on to teach Hatha, Vinyasa, Pranayama, Prenatal, Teacher Training, Pranayama Teacher Training, and classes for troubled teens.  In 2014, she co-created Yoga Enlarged (formerly Big Asana), a yoga class for the plus-size population that was the first of its kind in Ohio, and developed a complete New Beginner Curriculum and Intro to Vinyasa Curriculum for this community.  In 2015, she completed Teacher Training at the 500-Hour Level, the highest level available to yoga teachers.

Angie Never currently offers weekly yoga and bellydance classes online from her studio in Columbus, OH, and specialty workshops across the United States.
